2025 PARKS & TRAILS DAY

The Fredericton Trails Coalition will host the 2025 Parks & Trails Day to celebrate and promote inclusivity on our City’s trails and Greenspaces. Our vision for this free, fun and informative event is to engage, educate, and entertain the public during this one-day celebration by inviting our community supporters (service clubs, businesses, civic agencies & community organizations) to:
- host activities and exhibits related to healthy lifestyles, recreation, nature, greenspace and leisure activities as: cycling, walking, accessibility, orienteering, lawn bowling, birding, and other nature pursuits (to name a very few);
- Art on the Bill Thorpe Bridge;
- new this year is the implementation of the City’s BLUE (water) TRAILS which will integrate and supplement our existing BROWN (land) TRAILS (Trans Canada Trails, Rail Trails, etc) for even more greenspace, health and leisure activity options;
- organize play-based activities & games for kids;
- promote safe and inclusive trail use in our daily routines; and
- provide free BBQs to power all trail users.
Last year’s 2024 Parks & Trails Day event (while a little windy) was still a great success, attracting hundreds of trail users to partake in free BBQ’s and 30+ exhibits and activities hosted by community partners at designated locations along some of the City’s most popular trail segments. Our current plans will make the 2025 Parks & Trails Day event even better!
Recognizing the popularity of our trails and exponential growth in trail users of all types both on land and in the river,, we would invite you to come on-board as an Activity Host this year to help make our 2025 Parks & Trails Day another successful event. There is no cost to participate as an Activity Host, and venue is same as last year with hopefully more participants and visitors.

Our goal is to confirm our Activity Hosts & Volunteers by May 10, 2025. We shall also invite you to an online pre-event discussion for any last-minute items or questions to discuss prior to the event.
