FREDERICTON TRAILS COALITION
One of the projects of the Fredericton Trails Coalition is the Adopt-A-Trail program. Local schools, clubs, businesses and service groups adopt a section of the trail and make a commitment to keeping that section clean and safe. This involves a Spring Clean-Up in which the group devotes a day to picking up litter which has accumulated over the winter months. Some groups actually do a fall clean-up as well. The City of Fredericton supports the annual Spring Clean-Up by providing garbage bags and picking up the filled garbage bags at the end of the day.
Each group involved in the Adopt-a-Trail program will have a sign posted on their section of the trail indicating their involvement in the program. Currently there are 24 groups involved in the program covering all sections of the trail with the exception of the Vanier Trail. They are:
